September 29, 2010 Brad I have successfully installed a Win7 64bit with XP 32bit using most of the detail and the EasyBCD. its a seagate 250 but only shows 127. Bought a brand new Seagate Barracuda 500Gb PATA drive and after playing around with it, the drive became a 137Gb drive. This way, you don’t have to mess with boot sectors, editing BOOT.INI, or any of that stuff. Can you delete all existing partitions on the hard drive or do you still need some data? Used a combo of capacity restore and partition find to get all ~900 gigs back. i have a windows vista installed at my drive c: and i have an extra hardisk that i am planning to install with windows xp. My brothers computer is getting and error message at start up. "Explorer.exe file missing, must reinstall windows." February 7, 2010 junus I did follow througt the step beside, i have already an empty e partition while installing win7. The closest to a solution seems to be EASEUS Partition Master; which at least it seems to detect most of the files from the lost partitions. If its IDE , go into your BIOS and find your SATA Harddrive configuration change that to either ATA/PATA or Legacy (make sure you save your changes) Reboot and you should Can you see your hard drive or only the USB drive?
