well i cant seem to fix the problem, so instead i just downloaded an external equation thingy (mathmagic). I searched the net and found its something to do with the font 'mtextra' (as the one that comes with windows is not good) so i replaced it multiple times, but Inera recommends any version of MathType 6.5 or later, up to the most recent release, 6.9.
