I already have a Cat 5 line that was connected to another desktop on the first floor and thought I could connect the DI-524 to that. Is port 1 on both switches lit up? The second router would act as an access point instead of a repeater.

- Keep static devices on the same subnet but outside the DHCP range.
It's likely not an issue for you because you don't have a whole lot of devices.
- Do this in the LAN IP tab of the Asus router.
