May be my solution is wrong but it worked for me. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. I'm using Vista Home Premium and the most updated acrobat reader. I can print Exel documents but when I try to print a web document, I get the spooler sub system error and my computer is dead.
It is the only system with the issue and we have other Win 7 systems that work just fine. I was able to print anything other than PDFs. I've already invested TOO many hours in this problem! I can't even seem to remove the printers and then add them again. It worked like a charm! Go to the Log On Tab and make sure that the 'Local System account' option is selected along with the 'Allow service to interact with desktop' box. Then set the Print It wiped my printer drivers as expected, I loaded it up, it worked. Windows Can't Open Add Printer. How can I fix this? I have tried using another USB cable. The print spooler kept stopping until I removed the aforementioned printer and driver. Works 1000% 1.

I'm about to give up on I deleted all printer drivers per a suggestion somewhere and then started getting "The RPC server is unavailable" when turning computer on. 4. Says it detected no problems ! I did re-start my machine/ nothing change; I went to services.msc>services, but print spooler in not there.
Then I did as you said and took ownership of the spoolsv.exe file, although I did not need to give myself full permissions (I left it at the default). All of the sudden, I came into the office and the network doesn't work as well as my printer. Dependency services or groups are not able to run for some reason.
