After putting the CPU and the new cooler in the computer, it wouldn't start (not even one fan). The Core i7-5930K is a 6-core processor with HyperThreading, allowing for 12 addressable threads. I have no idea what went wrong, and this is my first custom built computer for me, so any help would be great. have a peek here

I would take the motherboard out of the case and just set it on the foam pad that came with the box that the motherboard came in. The connectors are the same. solved I wiped my HDD, now my pc wont fully turn on, please help me! It's also a bit overkill, at least for VR.

- In a typical processor, you only have one thread per physical core.
- Make sure everything is plugged in snuggly AND in the right place.
- Any of the alternative (NIST.gov) ones are fine although I prefer to use ones off the ntp.org list (specifically us.pool.ntp.org).
- When checking prices, we found the Kaby Lake Core i5-7600K is basically the same price (within a few dollars) of its Skylake predecessor.

For anyone who has had this trouble, it's almost impossible to tell when a PSU is dead.
But not this hundred dollars. When looking for a new PSU, try to find one with a 12V rail that is >=60 amps. There's the i5-6600K we previously used, the newcomer i5-7600K, the higher performance i7-6700K and i7-7700K, and potentially the i3-7350K if you're looking to save a bit of money. There are a thousand things that could go wrong, and any one of them could wind up costing hundreds of dollars.
