Printers Not Visible In XP
This is a disturbing annoyance that would absolutely not justify reinstalling XP and I would like to solve with the current installation (e.g.: if I want to stop a printing job, drivers , are the right divers added for the client PC (32/64bit). I found the error about the print spooler when I tried to delete my printer (with plans to reinstall it to see if that would help) and got the message that Have you tried your luck with HP Support or the Deskjet Forum?http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/categoryhome.do?categoryId=415No. http://macland.net/not-showing/printers-not-visible-in-add-printers.php

I have searched a lot and this works: So, go into "Services", and select the service "Device Setup Manager", and change its start-up type to "Automatic", then start the service. In step 3 I got an error "cannot import c:\User\pc1\-\msxml6.reg not all data was successfully written to registry. I read the microsoft article regarding the "LexBce Server" in the Services but that entry is not even a service that is listed.

- It happens on all of our Win8 Enterprise machines: Printers not showing up in "Devices and Printers" but in all other Software (like Office Word).
